Episode summary
In this episode, Jesse Ventura and his team learn about the "Manchurian Candidate" program - the Government's use of ordinary citizens as super soldiers to carry-out Government black ops, like assassinations. Governor Ventura learns how candidates are chosen, subjected to intense psychological stress and trauma, hypnotized, given microchip implants, and given keywords that when activated instruct them to kill on command without any recollection of the events. Jesse and the team interview an author and experts on the subject, and Jesse meets a man who claims to be a member of the Manchurian Candidate program.
Fun and viewer review
The guy who was allegedly hypnotized is full of bs. I am not buying it. Yes, I know that the government worked in secret to figure out how to use mind control techniques, but from what I learned in my psych classes, hypnosis only works on the weak and the willing, stronger minds seemed to be immune to it. Nothing works as good as putting a bag over someone's head and leaving them alone for 5 days or so and threatening & torturing them into submission, just ask Patty Hurst! Using fear is a very effective tool and that is why it is taught to dipsh*t cops today, because it works! Everything else I am calling bs on.
